We are a welcoming club for retired men and those approaching retirement, meeting in a relaxed atmosphere providing fellowship and the perfect opportunity to meet new friends.
We meet fortnightly on Tuesday mornings at the Cockhaven Arms from September to May, arriving from 10.00 am onward for coffee and an informal chat, followed at 10.30 am by a presentation on a variety of interesting topics by quality and experienced speakers. This lasts for about an hour, including questions. Members are then most welcome to join other members for a drink in the bar, have lunch or go home. There is a small annual subscription currently £25, to cover the costs.
In addition to the presentations, we have Club lunches at Christmas and in June, also visits to places of interest. Members wives/ partners are very welcome to join these events.
A good way to find out if you would like to become a member is to attend one or two meetings, without obligation as a guest of the club.
Potential members may find out more about the club by speaking to existing members where known or complete the form below with your name and email address or telephone number, then click on the SUBMIT button. Let us know if you prefer to be contacted by email or telephone. A member will then contact you to arrange a visit to a meeting or give more information if required.
