A message from June Grimble
It was a complete surprise to me this morning to see that I have been duly elected to the Parish Council.
I regularly attend the Parish Council meetings – at times being the only member of the public so I feel that I have a strong grasp of what is required to be a Councillor.
The function of the Parish Councillor is to represent all of the community and to participate without pre-conceived views or vested interests. This involves taking on board all sides of a discussion, equally, even if you disagree personally.
I hope that by taking my seat on Bishopsteignton Parish Council I will be able to continue my support for the village and help to create a good environment for our future generations.
