Weather Warnings…

Unless you are in complete hibernation ( if so I wouldn’t blame you) you will be aware that some severe weather is expected. To ensure the roads are usable and safe during this period authorities will be working hard to grit the primary routes but there are ways the Parish can help.
One of the most important aspects is keeping Fore Street clear of badly parked vehicles so the DCC Highways saltgrit spread can get through the village. If access is not possible it will not be able to do it’s job.
Also, please keep an eye out for anyone living nearby who may be vunrable due to the bad weather.
Several residents have been busy this morning gathering volunteers, checking and sourcing salt supplies etc. Particular thanks to Cllr Elaine Cawthraw, Cllr Keith Lambert, Roger Hunt and Roger Gallagher. Thanks also to anyone they may have roped into certain duties!
There is always work for more willing volunteers, please get in touch if there is anything you can do to help.
Stay safe everyone.
