Bishopsteignton Makes
At the end of April we are holding a weekend event – Bishopsteignton Makes – to celebrate the creativity of the people who live here. It will take place in four venues ie St Johns Church, the Community Centre, the Village Hall and the Methodist Church. There will be lots of exhibitors wishing to unload their vehicles.
In order to avoid gridlock in the village centre, we are looking for volunteers who would be able to help unload cars on Saturday 27th April between 9.00 and 10.30 outside both the Community Centre and the Village Hall, to keep traffic moving as freely as possible.
We would also like to hear from anyone who would be happy to help with refreshments at the Community Centre for a couple of hours on the Saturday afternoon.
If you can spare the time and are willing to help, please get in touch by emailing [email protected] , or phone Chris on 01626 775255. Thank you.
Even if you can’t help out, we hope you will be able to visit all the venues, which will be open to the public from 11.00 – 4.00 on 27th and 28th April. (Please note, the Methodist Church is only open on the Saturday.) There will be lots to see, broadly speaking:
- Art and photography at St Johns
- Textiles and ceramics at the Community Centre
- Woodwork, mosaics, macramé, fused glass etc at the Village Hall
- Talks and demonstrations at the Methodist Church
Some of the exhibitors will have items for sale. You can also partake of refreshments at the Village Hall and the Community Centre. Don’t miss out – we look forward to seeing you!
