Singing for Fun for all

“Singing for fun for all” was started in the village ten years ago now, by Pippa West and Claire Irvine and friends.

We meet once a month, to sing together, in the Community centre, with no formality, no choir performances or even regular attendance expected. Usually we have been fortunate enough to find someone to play keyboard or guitar for us and this is mainly thanks to Pippa, who has some very musical friends! We are a very mixed group; some people have great voices, while some of us can just about sing in tune!

Sadly, Pippa is now leaving the village and the group has dwindled in recent months. However, there is a core of people who are very keen to continue, if we can find someone to play for us.  We currently meet once a month (4th Tuesday), but the timing could be changed if need be. If we could find one or more musicians willing to play for us, maybe just a few times a year, that would be fantastic, and we could think about the group continuing to meet.

There are some people in the group who are willing to help with the admin and planning, but none of us can play an instrument, unfortunately.

We are not due to meet again until September now, so please can you let us know in the next few weeks, if you are interested either in singing or in playing.
