New Book by Bishopsteignton Author
Strange as it may sound, an ancient piece of writing offers an antidote to today’s busy lifestyle.
Written by Richard Frost, who lives in Bishopsteignton, Life with St Benedict offers daily reflections on the 6th Century Rule of St Benedict to help enable personal spiritual growth and prayer.
‘In a time when many are seeking space, silence and spiritual depth,’ says Richard, ‘the Rule of St Benedict retains relevance in a world where change is often feared, stability can be elusive, and busyness interferes with listening to God.’
Richard, who is married to Revd Jane Frost, the local Team Vicar, has also made a short film on YouTube which gives a taster about what the book is about and there’s more information at workrestpray.com.
‘In this companion to the Rule, Richard Frost offers a distilled wisdom for daily reflection to help us deepen our love of God and neighbour,’ writes Rt Revd Robert Atwell, Bishop of Exeter.
The book is published by The Bible Reading Fellowship (BRF) on 20 September and is available from BRF Online.
