There is now a newly formed Ladies Probus club for women about to retire, semi-retired or fully retired from a profession or business and who live locally. The main aim is to provide an inclusive arena where women can meet, chat, enjoy social events including talks, demonstrations, lunches and outings but most of all to meet together with the intention of having fun and leisure time together. The club will hold monthly meetings on the fourth Thursday of each month with additional outings as arranged.
Meetings are held at the Vineyard 10:00 for 10:30, coffee available to purchase as is lunch which needs to be pre booked with the Vineyards mentioning Ladies Probus when making the booking.
Bishopsteignton Ladies Probus Club with a yearly subscription of £30.00 invites retired and semi-retired ladies to join. We meet on the fourth Thursday of each month at 10.00am at the Old Walls Vineyard in Bishopsteignton where we have a speaker for each monthly meeting. Our next meeting will be on Thursday 25th November at 10.00am with a speaker Maureen Scott who will give a talk on “How to Wear Your Clothes Gracefully.
We also have a Traditional Afternoon Tea arranged for Tuesday 21st December at Brunch cafe (near the old fountain) in Teignmouth at £12.00 per person. We do not have meetings in December or August at the Old Walls Vineyard but arrange another event, trip or meal instead.
