Reopening St John’s Church on Sundays
We are pleased to announce that St John’s will be opening for services on Sunday 9 August.
The last few weeks have seen many meetings with the wider ministry team, the churchwardens and the PCCs of all of our six churches. It’s involved a lot of very detailed and complex risk assessments and putting in place the necessary arrangements, facilities and signage to make each of our six church buildings Covid-19 compliant – in other words, making them as safe as is possible.
Due to the difficulty of cleaning pews it is not possible to hold two services on the same day so our service will be at 10am. Apart from the 3rd Sunday in the month, when it will be informal Village Worship, our services will be Holy Communion.
Coming to church will be different in these current times and you can find more information in this short film and on our website.
We will continue to produce a weekly online service and look forward to welcoming you through both those and in person at St John’s once again.
There is also an Outdoor Quiet Space which is open all day and every day and the church will be open for personal prayer from 10am-12 noon on Wednesdays.
