Teign Estuary Trail: Newton Abbot to Teignmouth Public Consultation

The Teign Estuary Trail seeks to complete a missing link in the strategic walking and cycling network between Newton Abbot and Teignmouth. Connecting Dawlish, Teignmouth and Newton Abbot through the extension of the Teign and Exe Estuary Trails would form a national showcase, supporting leisure as well as local utility trips, and providing economic and health benefits.
The proposals cover a 5km section of the multi-use trail adjacent to the estuary, starting at the Passage House Inn and joining the A381 at La Roche Maurice Walk, east of Bishopsteignton. From here, a shared use path would link to the Morrisons’ junction, Teignmouth.
