Week of Prayer for Christian Unity

The annual Week of Prayer for Christian Unity starts on Sat 18 Jan and will see a number of special services bringing together people from all church denominations. This area has particularly good ecumenical links so this provides a great opportunity to celebrate unity in diversity. The theme for this year, which has been prepared by churches in Malta and Gozo is ‘They Showed an Unusual Kindness’, which is drawn from Acts 27:18-28:10

In the Haldon Team we will join others from churches of all denominations from across Teignmouth and the local area at 3pm on Sunday 19th at Teignmouth United Reformed Church.

Our joint service at St John the Baptist with the Methodist Church at Bishopsteignton at 10.30am on Sunday 19th will take the Week of Prayer as a special focus as will Evening Prayer at 5pm on Monday 20th and Midweek Communion at 10am on Wednesday 22nd, also at St John’s.

All are welcome – whichever denomination you belong to.
